Get ready to travel to the base of the world's highest mountain on an exciting and adrenalin filled 14 day trek deep within the Everest Region.

The Everet Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal and should be high on the top of your bucket list.

The trek takes you on a journey through the Himalaya during which you will have the chance to learn about the history and culture of the Sherpa people, visit colourful monasteries, stay in tiny villages, and be surrounded by enormous mountains.  You will see some of the highest mountains in the world- Mt. Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, Amadablam, Pumori throughout the majority of your trip.

The highlight of this trip is watching the unforgettable sunrise over Mt Everest and enjoying 360 degree views of the mountains from Kalapathar (5643 metres). Definitely a once in a life time experience!

This trek is moderate in difficulty and suitable for individuals with a reasonable level of fitness.

Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 - 4 hours trek 

Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 - 6 hours 

Day 03: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft) 

Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours 

Day 05: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 - 6 hours 

Day 06: Dingboche: Acclimatization 

Day 07: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 7 km, 4 hours 

Day 08: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours 

Day 09: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours 

Day 10: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 - 7 hours 

Day 11: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours 

Day 12: Fly to Kathmandu

List of clothing

  • 2 quick drying long sleeved base layer shirts 
  • 3 short sleeve trekking shirts
  • 2 pairs of thermal pants (base layer) 
  • 2 pairs of liner socks 
  • 3 pairs of woollen trekking socks 
  • 2 pairs of trekking pants with zip off bottoms
  • 2 fleece sweaters – one lightweight, one heavier.

 ‎Outer Layers

  • 1 wind/rain proof overlayer– jacket and pants
  • 1 down jacket 
  • 1 warm winter hat/beanie
  • 1 headband/buff
  • 1 pair of gloves
  • 1 pair of trekking boots
  • 1 pair of sandals/ sneakers (for wearing in and around the lodges)
  • 1 pair of down booties (great for keeping feet warm in room and while sleeping and/or in the lodge)
