The Poon Hill trek is one of the most famous and popular treks in Nepal. This trek is suitable for people of all ages and ideal for beginners or those who want to experience the beauty of the Himalayas in a short period of time. During the trek, you will experience some of the finest scenery the Annapurna region has to offer - beautiful Rhodedendron forests, traditional Gurung and Magar villages, stunning valleys and spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The highlight of the trek is experiencing the beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas at Poon Hill- one of the best view points of the mountains in the region.

Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) 

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri (2050m/6725 ft)

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750m/9,020 ft): 4 - 5 hours trek 

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) with a visit to Poon Hill: 6 - 7 hours 

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 3 - 4 hours 

Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara: 4 hours trek and 1 hour drive 

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu 

Day 09: Final Departure

  • 2 quick drying long sleeved base layer shirts
  • 3 short sleeve trekking shirts
  • 2 pairs of thermal pants (base layer)
